One time a friend was pulled over in front of me for going 50 in a 30. The kicker? He had been stopped at a left turn. Clearly most cops don’t know even a properly calibrated radar gun (hahaha like that happens) is only accurate to within 1 mph so he shouldn’t have got the increased fine f or 20 and over.

i got pulled over once, at my reck onning I was ~25 over. cop was polite and I was polite, and he said “lets call it 19 over” which was the lower fine limit, as 20 over bumped the fine substantially.
so really the number is irrelevant, its all just how they feel, apaprently.

Fortunately I haven’t been pulled over. . . yet. . . since my thing is accelerating hard to 5 above (where the real traffic flow is) and then just cruising. If you are polite, or white, I’ve heard, you can get off light without a fight all night.
